Can you help me fundraise to purchase a reliable people mover modified to accomodate my wife’s motorised wheelchair? This is the only way Shaunaugh will be able to access the community and attend medical appointments. It is not uncommon for her to attend three medical appointments in one week in Melbourne.

Shaunagh was born with Cerebral Palsy- Spastic Quadriplegia Against the odds she has become a teacher, wife, mother and strong advocate. In 2000 she was involved in a car accident caused by a drunk, disqualified driver. Her world changed forever she was left with increased levels of spasticity,nerve damage and pain. A trip in a accessible taxi often exacerbates her condition. Unfortunately, there are no further monetary compensations to assist with this purchase, and due to many medical appointments we are in desparate need for an accessible wheelchair vehicle. We utilise, where possible, public transport, however the tram system is not wheelchair friendly and a lot of specialists are not located near public transport.

Now that she is confined to a motorised wheelchair, her ability to get out has diminished greatly. She spends a lot of time at home watching life pass her by.

We are reaching out to the community to help us in any small way, so we can get Shaunaugh out and about in the community.

We are utilising government funding to purchase a new motorised wheelchair. However, due to their guidelines, we are unable to utilise their funding for a people mover.

We are looking to raise $60,000 for a vehicle that can be modified . We ask for any donation whether small or large to assist us with this purchase.

You will be helping a wife, mother, advocate and fellow member of the community get out and about and restart living life to the fullest.

Please Help this amazing woman get a wheelchair accessible vechicle van she has done so much for others and it is now she who needs help. You couldn’t be supporting a better woman, get some happiness in her life by being able to go out when she likes with her family. Please help her by donating or sharing . Thank you
